Energy and the Environment
Jack is committed to reducing, and ultimately eliminating, Americans’ reliance on foreign oil. In addition to driving up costs and being at the mercy of others, this reliance has caused the federal government to make hasty and costly decisions in other areas of governing. The federal government has used this energy policy as an excuse to partner with countries that we would never dream of – and shouldn’t anyway.
Jack will work with others in Congress to erase this excuse, and create smart energy policy. Jack believes that, in addition to drilling in our own country, we need to encourage businesses and local communities to participate in innovative energy initiatives. Solar energy is one of those key areas. Providing incentives to partner with solar companies is one component that will overhaul bad energy policy and proactively implement resources at our disposal.
Businesses are suffering from over-regulation. Jack is committed to listening and proposing legislation to help the small business owner succeed.
