Individuals may contribute a maximum of $5,000 - $2,500 for the Primary election and $2,500 for the General election. Multi-candidate PACs may give a maximum of $10,000 - $5,000 for the Primary election and $5,000 for the General election. All contributions are subject to limitations and regulations set by the Federal Election Commission.
Education
Jack is committed to the success of the next generation, and at the root of that success is quality education. Like so many other programs, Jack believes that the federal government’s approach has been to throw money at broken systems and defective laws. For example, the “No Child Left Behind” law has not worked. Congress has known that for years, but it has continued to throw money into this system. No doubt leaving many children behind.
In meeting with educators throughout Indiana, Jack is convinced that the federal government should leave the details of educating to local educators. Though appropriate federal funding and support is necessary, the federal government should have never gotten into the minutia. That created, rather than solved, problems. It also has shown to be a waste of federal taxpayer monies.
In reforming the way we look at education, Jack believes that one size does not fit all. Our children, like all of us, learn in different ways. Integrating creativity into the basic learning structure for our children is critical. The space program, among others, was successful because of science and art. Jack believes that we should teach, and embrace, creative thinking. Local educators should be encouraged to explore all of these methods. Jack believes that this will result in better educating all of our children, more efficiently.
